What are hair perfumes?
Simply put: Fragrances for the hair.
Scent lives differently and for longer in hair than it does on the skin. Hair perfumes (not hair and body mists!!) give you the same fragrance complexity found in conventional perfumes, while being formulated especially to suit the hair. Not only is it made to last in hair, it is especially made to be safe, nourishing, and compatible for all hair types.
We make our hair perfumes with our customers’ needs and use cases in mind. As a refresher after a sweaty workout, an odour neutraliser after smoky meals, or even as part of your fragrance layering routine, our hair perfumes are crafted intentionally and purposefully.
What’s the difference between regular perfumes and hair perfumes?
Regular perfumes often contain high alcohol concentrations, which can have a damaging and drying effect on the hair with long-term use. Hair perfumes usually have much lower alcohol concentrations, which are safe for hair use. Some hair perfumes may also include hair conditioning ingredients that are made to hydrate, combat odours, and more – an added bonus!
Can I use hair perfumes on my body?
Yes! Due to the low alcohol concentration, hair perfumes are safe for the body. They function similarly to hair and body mists. The main distinction between hair perfumes and the average hair and body mists is that most mists in the market do not contain ingredients specialised for the hair.
Are Double Take hair perfumes suitable for all hair types and dyed hair?
Yes! Our nourishing ingredients are suitable for all hair types and are infused in universally safe concentrations. Our hair perfumes are also safe for dyed hair due to its low alcohol concentration.
Will the fragrance of my hair perfumes clash with my hair products or body perfumes?
While our scents are complex in their own right, we carefully crafted them to be easily paired with other products or perfumes containing fragrances from different scent families. We encourage you to give fragrance layering a try!
Furthermore, while most hair products may have a fragrance, the concentration of fragrance oil in their formulas are likely to be very low, and therefore relatively short-lasting. It is unlikely that the fragrances will strongly clash with each other.
Is the amount of alcohol in Double Take’s hair perfumes harmful?
Alcohol is an essential ingredient for the product to function as it acts as a carrier for other ingredients. It is also a key ingredient needed to reduce stickiness upon application. Our perfumes are water-based, and we have worked closely with our product chemists to ensure that the concentration of alcohol is at the absolute minimum necessary to prevent damage or drying of the hair.
Do Double Take’s hair perfumes nourish the hair?
Our hair perfumes have nourishing and hydrating benefits thanks to our hydrolyzed silk protein, argan oil, and squalene ingredients which help moisturise the hair while adding shine and covering any hair odours.
But of course, hair perfumes are not a direct substitute for hair serums or leave-in conditioners. Please continue to use those products if your hair needs more tender loving care.
Do the fragrance of Double Take’s hair perfumes last?
We work very hard to ensure that in making our formulas safe for the hair, longevity is not compromised. Nevertheless, fragrance tends to fade quickly under hot weather. Expect 3-5 hours longevity indoors and 2-3 hours outdoors. Spray the product generously throughout your hair and comb it through for maximum projection and longevity.
Do the hair perfumes have an expiry date?
All of our hair perfumes have a shelf life of 2 years from production, and have their expiry dates labelled below the bottle. (Although most perfumes last longer than that!) This is in line with common industry standards.
Shipping
Which countries do you ship to?
For our first launch, we are only shipping within Singapore. For our overseas friends, please continue to show us love as we are planning to ship to more regions in the near future!
What shipping options are there?
Standard shipping will be provided and our delivery partner will make up to 3 delivery attempts. All local courier deliveries are trackable via the order tracking ID which will be provided in the shipping confirmation email.
How much is shipping?
Shipping rates will be $5 for standard, and $7 for priority. Delivery will be free for local orders of $60 and above!
How long will it take to receive my order?
You can expect to receive your order within 3-5 working days. Please expect delayed shipping during peak period (e.g., restock, launches, sales, and festive seasons) for us to process higher order volumes.
How do I track my order delivery status?
After your order has been packed and sent out, you should receive an email with a tracking number from our delivery partner. Do click on the tracking number to track your order delivery status.
My item is marked as delivered but I did not receive it. What should I do?
In the event that you do not receive your order, please drop us an email at getadoubletake@gmail.com so that we can assist you. We will do our best to help track down your package, but please note that Double Take is not liable for any parcels that are lost or stolen.
I missed the delivery of my order. What should I do?
Please note that our delivery partner will make up to 3 attempts to deliver your package. If all attempts are unsuccessful, the order will be returned to us.
In the event your package is returned, we can assist in arranging a redelivery. However, this will require an additional redelivery fee, which you will need to cover.
No refunds will be issued if your order is returned to us due to incomplete or incorrect delivery details provided or after all delivery attempts have failed. Hence, please ensure all of your shipping information is accurate.
Returns and Refunds
What is your cancellation policy?
If you change your mind, please email us at getadoubletake@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number so we can assist you with the return process.
If we have yet to ship the order, our team will issue a refund equivalent to the purchase price, excluding shipping costs within 5 working days.
If it has already been shipped out, please refer to our return policy instead.
What is your return policy?

To be eligible for any return, the item(s) must be in its original purchase condition as such: unused, unmarked, unaltered, and in original packaging, in brand new condition, and free of damage. Once the bubble wrap and packaging around the box has been opened, we will consider it non-eligible for return.
You are responsible for the costs of sending the item(s) back to us (unless in the case of incorrect/ defective items). Kindly note that we are not responsible for item(s) lost or unlocatable before they reach us; therefore, we recommend using a trackable delivery method for your returns.
Upon receipt and verification of the returned item(s), and provided that the item(s) meet the specified conditions, our team will issue a refund equivalent to the purchase price, excluding shipping costs within 5 working days.
My item is incorrect/ defective. What should I do?
If the item you received is incorrect or defective, please email us at getadoubletake@gmail.com within 3 days of delivery so we can assist you.
Please provide us with the following information in the email so we can best assist you: 1) Your order number, 2) Description of the issue, 3) Images of the issue.
Please note the following: As our bottles are hand-labelled and painted, slight variations in paint finish and label application may occur. These minor differences are a natural part of our production process and do not affect the quality of functionality of your hair perfume. Additionally, stains or scratches on the bottle over time due to exposure to other elements or the products in your bag/ environment is inevitable and not considered a defect.
We will arrange for a return pickup from your delivery address and any return fees will be borne by us. Please ensure that any item(s) that are incorrect or defective should be returned in their original condition i.e. unused, unmarked, unaltered, and in its original packaging. Do note that if the item is out of stock, we reserve the right to issue a cash refund.
